Introduction to Education Department II

　　Education Department II belongs to Teachers College of Eastern Liaoning University. Which is reconstructed in April, 2004, on the combination of the teaching and research groups of Music, PE, Art and Pre-school education of former Dandong Normal School. The speciality of primary education include music, PE and art, which are five years of school period; Pre-school education speciality is five years and three years of school period. There are five teaching and research groups, which are piano, vocal music, all-round music, art and PE.

　　There are 34 full-time teachers, among them 7 associate professors,18 lecturers,1 master and 14 masters in studying. All the teachers are working hard, with good character, high professional abilities and skills. They have trained many excellent graduates during half of the century, most of whom have become the key members in the educational field .

　　There are well-equipped buildings such as musical instrument rooms, painting rooms, vocal music rooms, dancing rooms , micro classrooms and physical training gyms. There are many kinds of musical instruments, teaching tools and other teaching equipment.

　　In order to train excellent talents, all the faculty in department (II) are studying teaching theory, doing some social research, taking part in social activities. The principle “wide entrance, good foundation, paying attention to practice, improving development” is being well practised. Teachers pay much attention to practical teaching and abilities training. With advanced educational conception, strict attitude to pursue their studies, down-to-earth working style, the teachers will work together to meet a pleasant future.
